Nina was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, but lived in Maryland until she was 14, when she moved to Chile with her mother and younger sister. After graduating high school, she moved back to the US where she attended university and began working. Heavily influenced by her upbringing, her work examines our connection to nature, themes of domesticity, memory, and the relationship between written and visual language.
Nina's photography style walks the line between fine art and photojournalism, while consistently embracing the natural qualities in her surroundings. She received an MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a BA in Studio Art from the University of Virginia.
